The Furry Friends Farm 2018 Calendar stands out from traditional calendars with its innovative design and interactive features. The calendar box set includes 13 loose cards and a do-it-yourself display stand. Once assembled, the display stand takes the shape of an animal pen, creating a visual representation of the farm's commitment to providing a home for all animals without the use of cages.

One side of the display stand features a coin slot, transforming it into a coin box, allowing users to contribute to the fundraising efforts. The other side of the stand displays the 13 loose sheets of the calendar, each showcasing a rescued dog and sharing its unique story. This design encourages regular interaction, as users can change the sheets monthly, creating a deeper connection with the animals and the cause.

The Furry Friends Farm 2018 Calendar is made using offset printing on heavy textured Japanese paper, ensuring a high-quality and visually appealing product. The calendar box specifications include a size of 215mm (W) x 14mm (D) x 195mm (H), printed on 320gsm card with a die-cut, fold, and glue finishing. The loose cards measure 165mm (W) x 200mm (H) and are printed on 284gsm card. The animal pen, once assembled, measures 200mm (W) x 90mm (D) x 150mm (H) and is printed on 320gsm card with a die-cut and fold finishing.

The Furry Friends Farm 2018 Calendar project started in June 2017 and was completed in October 2017 in Selangor, Malaysia. The design team, led by Creative Director Paggie Chin, included a copywriter, graphic designer, junior designer, illustrator, and photo retoucher, all working together to create a visually stunning and impactful calendar.

This unique calendar design was inspired by the need to raise funds for Furry Friends Farm Malaysia and to showcase the individuality and lovable nature of the rescued dogs. By incorporating interactive elements and a do-it-yourself display stand, the calendar not only serves as a fundraising tool but also creates a deeper connection between users and the cause.

The Furry Friends Farm 2018 Calendar has received recognition for its creativity and ingenuity, winning the Bronze A' Design Award in 2018 in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category. This award acknowledges the calendar's outstanding design, which incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology, contributing to quality of life improvements and making the world a better place.
